Internet Software Consortium (ISC) was an organization that was founded by Rick Adams and Paul Vixie with funding from
UUNET to develop and support a number of reference implementations of Internet software. ISC's main office is in Redwood City,
California.
In January 2004 the projects, assets and staff of Internet Software Consortium were transferred to a new company, Internet Systems Consortium. The new company is a US Federal 501c(3) public-benefit, non-profit corporation.
Software developed at ISC includes
BIND, DHCP and
INN.
